Being a K-influencer: Working for the Korea Tourism Organization

As the Korean Wave gains in popularity all around the world through various media platforms and cultural products , the country has became a destination of choice for many travelers. To reach a global audience, the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO) now works with multiple social media influencers. Among them, Cristopher Barrientos – a Master’s student at Ajou University and member of Adventure Korea 2022-, offers a good overview of the role of K-influencers within their partnership with the Korean Tourism Organization and the increasing involvement of foreign individuals in promoting Korea abroad.
