For many foreigners visiting Seoul for the first time, the trash disposal system in South Korea may be confusing. Today, we invited some international Yonsei GSIS students to talk about their experiences navigating through the South Korean trash disposal system when they first came to Korea.
Fountine Zhao is currently a graduate student at Yonsei GSIS majoring in International Trade, Finance, and Management. She received a double bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Drama from the University of California, Irvine. As a jack of many trades, she has a diverse working background in documentary film distribution, social media content production, event management, education, tourism, and public health. She hopes to use her diverse skillset and experience to create media projects exploring her Yonsei peers’ perspectives on various socio-cultural subjects in South Korea.
